Intechers gets together to support disability
For some it was a 2nd participation (without hesitation) and for others, a discovery. For all, it was an unforgettable experience, and everyone came away feeling better ... and sweatier !
So some of our Intechers headed to Paris on July 10 and 11 to take part in the TOM France Hackaton. This is THE Marathon of ingenious ideas for the disabled. With the Paris Olympics just around the corner, this year's theme was of course handisport. 13 prototypes were created over two intense days, during which Intechers and SMADErs were also able to try out wheelchair basketball.
An adapted gorse saddle, a Handbike equipped for greater autonomy, a warm-up tool for rugby players and wheelchair basketball players, an alternative communication system for deaf and blind children, an accessible quad bike for left-handers, a manual whellchair that rise to dance at the same height as ablebodied partners ... Here's what was proposed at the Hackaton.
And this is juste a sample of the solutions developed during this 2023 session.
