Industry Week: an event to promote the industrial sector
Industry Week is an annual national initiative to promote French industry and its many trades. During this week, thousands of events are organized all over France: factory visits, conferences, practical workshops, meetings with professionals and career guidance forums.
These initiatives not only raise awareness of the challenges facing industry among schoolchildren, jobseekers and the general public, but also showcase the innovations and prospects it offers in a variety of fields, including energy, aeronautics, agri-food and technology. This year, Industry Week was held from November 18 to 24, 2024, and our Rang-du-Fliers plant was pleased to play an active part.
As part of Industry Week, our Rang-du-Fliers production site and head office welcomed 4th and 3rd grade students from local secondary schools. The aim: to offer a hands-on immersion in the day-to-day life of industry, and to inspire vocations among these young people who are in the midst of considering their future career paths. We welcomed :
- Collège Jean Jaurès d'Étaples: Wednesday November 20, 9am-12pm.
- Collège du Bras d'Or d'Écuires: Thursday November 21, 10am-12:30pm.
A moment of exchange and discovery
The two days were marked by the students' enthusiasm, curiosity and interest in industrial professions. The questions asked during the presentations and visits showed their desire to better understand the challenges and workings of our business, which is perfectly in keeping with the spirit of Industry Week.
We're proud to have contributed, in our own small way, to raising the profile of industry and helping to awaken these young people to the world of work. This type of event is essential for bringing generations together and building a strong, sustainable French industry. We would like to extend our warmest thanks to the Jean Jaurès and Bras d'Or secondary schools for their visit to our premises.
Many thanks to Maeva Thirault, Amandine Penel and Marion Vandewalle for organizing these two days, and to Jean-Bernard Devolder, Kévin Dumeniel for leading interactive tours that captivated the students.
Together, let's continue to build the future of industry!
We tech care.
