Breaking Barriers with FLASH: Uniting our Global Workforce

In today's fast-paced workplace, ensuring everyone is on the same page is paramount. But what if your team lacks equal access to information? That was one of our daily challenges at Intech, where over than 50% of our workforce (mostly frontline workers) were "disconnected" from everyday emails and were accidentally left out on communications.

This is why Intech launched its custom internal communication platform, FLASH by Intech.

Flash: a passport to Intech's vibrant community!

More than just an internal social network, FLASH is our connection hub for all Intechers! With factories across the world and time zones spanning across 22 hours, our Marketing, Communications, and Human Resources teams have collaborated to create a mobile platform aimed at enhancing internal communication, fostering employee engagement, and transcending geographical boundaries.

This robust communication tool empowers employees to stay updated on company news, share content, and engage in discussions, no matter where they are!

Navigating innovative communication challenges in a diverse workplace

With this progressive approach, Intech once again breaks away from traditional factory norms. Our company epitomizes forward-thinking ideals, evident in our approach, vision, and tools for both production and communication.

As pioneers in connected instrumentation, it seemed logical for us to connect and engage the men and women within the organization that have a knack for innovation! Through this application, we can bolster the sense of belonging among all Intechers, regardless of their international presence, by uniting them under common values.

Our objective is straightforward: empower Intechers to contribute through content sharing, access relevant information, and feel fully engaged in the company's journey.

In just 6 months, the community counts 760 active members, 64% of the group's employees, with some sites reaching a ratio of 85% of their workforce.

Flash is a real asset in improving the working experience. The platform's instant communication capabilities have dissolved the barriers between offices and factories within the first month, putting all Intechers on the same level of information and facilitating exchanges between employees.

Flash transcends physical boundaries, showcasing the international scope of our Group and celebrating the diverse expertise across our sites. From complex Instruments and Implants in Alabama to Cases & Trays in Saint-Soupplets, or Cutting Tools in Florida, our platform highlights the breadth of our capabilities.

Moreover, it provides a fun space where cultural differences are embraced, featuring themed quizzes and challenges for occasions like Chinese New Year, Halloween, and Christmas.

Additionally, Flash serves as a repository for practical documents and fact sheets accessible via a media drive, gradually phasing out traditional paper displays.

Flash shines a spotlight on our Intechers' outstanding work, highlighting new techniques and achievements at every site. Whether it's the completion of a long-term project in Rang-du-Fliers and Toulon or expansions in Malaysia, every step forward enriches and strengthens our Intech family.

From Newsletter to Digital: unveiling the story behind Flash

For years, employees were eagerly anticipating the "Intech Flash," a monthly internal newsletter. More than just a name, "Flash" embodies swift, almost instantaneous dissemination of global information, marking the evolution to version 2.0 of the familiar newsletter.

The platform's launch was met with resounding success among Intechers! In just six months, 64% of employees, including 35% of frontline workers, have registered. Flash now hosts 541 pieces of content, with 48% contributed by users themselves.
